The Tissue & Cell Genomic DNA Purification Kit  provides a rapid, simple and effective approach to isolate the genomic DNA from various animal tissues, culture cells and bacteria. The process is based on a spin column format; the procedure involves cell lysis with proteinase K digestion, nucleic acids absorption and DNA elution. Typical yield ranges from 20~40 μg and size ranges from 20~50 kb with 30 kb predominating.
DNA purified using this kit is suitable for various applications, including PCR, restriction enzyme digestion, cloning and dot blot analysis.
Features
  • Suitable for various types of sample [Bacterial (2x109), Animal cells(5x106), Tissues(25 mg), insects(25 mg), nematodes(25 mg), mouse tail(1.2 cm), yeast (2x109)]
  • High Purity: DNA purified is ready to use for subsequent applications such as cloning, PCR amplification, enzyme digestion, hybridization and sequencing
  • Simple procedures, high purification yield of 20~40 μg
  • Safe: No phenol/chloroform, the whole process can be done within 30 minutes.

Experimental Data

P53 gene analysis of genomic DNA from mouse tails
PCR analysis was performed on 10 mouse tails samples, amplifying intron 6 regions of p53 gene, giving a  PCR product of 305 bp.

Genomic DNA purification from various samples
2% Eluted DNA (left) and EcoRI digested DNA (right)  were loaded on 1% agarose
Lane 1: DH5α (E. coli)
Lane 2: Bladder cells (culture cells)
Lane 3: Mouse tail
