Description SafeView Plus™ represents the newest generation of nucleic acid stains. It can be safely and widely used for the visualization of double-stranded DNA, single-stranded DNA, and RNA in agarose gels. SafeView Plus™ was developed to replace toxic ethidium bromide (EB, a potent mutagen) and has higher sensitivity and enhanced performance than SafeView™.

SafeView Plus™ is used the same way as ethidium bromide in agarose gel electrophoresis. It can be added directly in the gel casting step. There is no need to add it to the electrophoresis buffer. The fluorescence has an excitation maxima at approximately 490nm.
1. Prepare a 100ml agarose solution.

2. Add 10ul SafeView Plus™ to the agarose solution.

3. Mix gently. The mixed solution should have no air bubbles.

4. Let the solution cool down to 60-70°C and cast the gel.

5. Run the gel with DNA samples.

6. View the results under UV light.

Application Safe Detection of dsDNA, ssDNA and RNA in agarose gels. Both Safeview Classic and Safeview Plus will work with blue light.
