SOX9 is a transcription factor essential for multipotent neural stem cell (NSC) formation and maintenance. Sox9 is a major molecular component of the neuron–glia switch in the developing spinal cord. SOX9 also plays a key role in chondrogenesis. This lentivirus expresses human SOX9 under the control of the tet promoter.
